Replacing aging
hardware?
Let’s talk first.

Whether it’s a single workstation or a fleet reaching end of service, we assess what you have and tell you honestly what it’s worth against a new EUROCOM system — or whether upgrading the machine you own is the better call.

How Trade-In Works Now

We no longer run a blanket, fixed-percentage trade-in offer. Every system is valued individually — which usually means a fairer number for well-specified hardware, and a straight answer when a trade-in isn’t worth it.

Tell Us What You Have

Make, model, configuration, age and quantity. For fleets, an inventory list is enough to start — we don’t need serial numbers up front.

We Assess It Against Your Build

Value depends on the model, its condition and configuration, and what the current market will bear. We quote it against the specific system you’re considering, not a generic percentage.

It Appears On Your Quote

Any trade-in allowance is shown as its own line on the formal quote, so procurement and finance can see exactly how the number was reached.

Fleet Refresh

Most of the trade-in conversations worth having now involve organizations retiring a group of machines at once. That is a procurement exercise, not a discount — and it is the one we are set up for.

As Close to Identical as Supply Allows

Component availability is genuinely unpredictable right now, and we would rather say so than promise a configuration we cannot hold. We will work with you to keep builds as consistent as supply allows, and tell you early when a part has to change and what the closest equivalent is.

Drives Stay With You

Keep your storage. On any trade-in we will arrange for drives to be removed and retained by your organization — the simplest answer to a data handling question, and usually the one security teams prefer.

Staged Rollout

Replace in waves rather than all at once, so no team is without a machine. Old units come back on a schedule that suits your operations, not ours.

Upgrade May Beat Replace

EUROCOM systems are user upgradeable by design. If memory and storage will carry your fleet another two years, we will say so — and quote the upgrade instead.

Individual Trade-Ins

We still take single-system trade-ins in the right circumstances — typically when you are moving up within the EUROCOM range, or replacing a high-specification workstation that still holds real value.

What we no longer do is apply a fixed discount to any laptop of any age. It produced numbers that were wrong for both sides: too little for a well-kept workstation, too much for hardware with no remaining value.

Ask before you order. It takes one message, and the answer either appears on your quote or saves you shipping a machine that we would only have to send back.

Worth Asking About
  • Recent EUROCOM systems moving up a tier
  • High-specification mobile workstations in good condition
  • Complete machines — nothing stripped or missing
  • Groups of systems retiring together

Why Hardware Should Outlive One Purchase

Built to Be Opened

Memory and storage are user replaceable. A EUROCOM bought three years ago is rarely finished — it is usually one upgrade away from another project.

Less In The Waste Stream

A machine that gets a second life is a machine that is not being recycled. Extending service life has always been the point of building systems this way.

Plan The Whole Cycle

Knowing what happens to a system at the end makes the purchase easier to justify at the start. We would rather have that conversation before you buy than after.

Tell Us What You’re Replacing

Send the make, model and quantity of what you have, and what you are looking at replacing it with. We will come back with an honest assessment — including when the answer is to keep what you own.
