Upon Startup of my Computer, I cannot get into the BIOS
    Dec 16, 2020

Starting your notebook from powered off...you hit the power button and start to select F2 to go into the BIUOS however, the computer boots directly into windows not reacting to the F2 and going into the BIOS.

This issue is being caused by Windows 10 Fast Startup. Turn off Fast boot and this will eliminate the problem.

Start your notebook and go into the Control Panel
    Select "Hardware and Sound"
Select "Choose what the power buttons do"
Select "Change settings that are currently unavailable"
    Deselect "Turn on Fast Startup"
    Save your changes and re-boot.

You will now be able to select F2 to go into the BIOS

I want to install Linux Mint in my Eurocom Sky X9C/X7C or X4C. Are their any known issues?
    Jan 29, 2018

I want to install Linux Mint. Are their any known issues?

Yes...If you load Linux Mint the IRST (Intel Rapid Storage Technology) will not run correctly. This will mean you cannot setup any type of RAID setup with your Hard Drives. If you are not interested in running any type of RAID array, this issue will not effect you.

Are there any restriction when I load Linux/Ubuntu on my notebook??
    Apr 03, 2017

All our system have been tested with Linux/Ubuntu and they do work properly. Until recently the only known restriction is you could not use a Killer WLAN with Linux/Ubuntu. Recent releases of Linux has resolved this issue.

    Thank You

Can I disable G-Sync temporarily on my Eurocom Notebook?
    Jun 15, 2017

If your notebook is configured with G-Sync you may encounter some older video games that do not support G-Sync. To play these games you simply temporarily disable G-Sync using the following method...

    1. Right click anywhere on the Desktop
    2. Open the NVidia Control Panel
    3. On the left side of the screen select - Setup G-Sync
    4. De-select Enable G-Sync

Can I put Linux on my Eurocom Notebook??
    Aug 12, 2015

Yes...You sure can. There are two conditions however...

    1) You must have an Intel Wireless card

Realtek and Killer wireless cards ARE NOT supported in Linux. Please ensure you have an Intel Wireless Card in your notebook

    2) You cannot be using RAID

Linux cannot support RAID in a Eurocom Notebook. If you must use RAID then you must use a Windows operating system.

If you are interested, when you purchase a new Eurocom Notebook you can request we install a Linux OS for you. We can install Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and the cost is $75.00

Can I upgrade my system to use NVidia G-Sync?
    Jun 11, 2015

Unfortunately No. In order for a notebook to use NVidia G-Sync it must come from the factory with G-Sync enabled. Part of the requirements are as following...

    1) Supported GPU
    2) Supported LCD Panel
    3) NVidia GPU Driver R352.06 or above
    4) Eurocom G-BIOS

    What is G-Sync?

G-Sync is a proprietary adaptive sync technology created by NVidia to eliminate screen tearing and the need for software deterrents such as Vsync. G-Sync eliminates screen tearing by forcing a video display to adapt to the frame rate of the outputting device rather than the other way around, which could traditionally be refreshed halfway through the process of a frame being output by the device, resulting in two frames being shown at once. In order for a device to use G-Sync, it must contain a proprietary G-Sync module sold by NVidia.

How do I turn off the Driver Auto Updates for Windows 10? They keep updating drivers I do not want updated
    Jun 15, 2017

Occasionally Microsoft will use their Auto Update feature in Windows 10 and will send out new drivers to your notebook. Generally this is fine however sometimes you do not want drivers such as your Video Card drivers updated as the newest drivers will not work properly in your notebook. To turn off these driver updates please follow this easy procedure...

    1. Click Start, right-click Computer, and then click Properties.
    2. In the Tasks list, click Advanced System Settings.
    3. On the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab, and then click Windows Update Driver Settings.
    4. Select Never check for drivers when I connect a device.
    5. Click OK twice, and then close the System dialog box.

I am getting a black screen during Windows 10 Pro x64 installation. What should I do?

Is it possible to turn the system fans on Full Speed to ensure my notebook remains cool?
    Jun 15, 2017

During normal use the fans will increase speed on their own as heat builds however, many users like to prevent the temps in their notebook from building so they toggle the fans to full speed before stressing the notebook.

If you are just sitting down to intense gaming or starting some heavy workload on your notebook and you want to turn your fans on full speed to keep things nice and cool, simply use the keystroke FN-1 and this will toggle the fans to full speed. Toggle the FN-1 again and the fans will return to their normal speed as you choose.

On the Eurocom Tornado notebook there is a Fan button on the top case that will throttle the fans to full speed and back to normal as it is pushed. This is the only model Eurocom notebook that does not use the FN-1 selection to control fan speed.
