[Ottawa, June 20, 2024] – Eurocom is excited to announce the launch of a series of DIY videos aimed at helping users upgrade and self-service their Eurocom laptops with ease and confidence. These videos provide step-by-step instructions for common maintenance and upgrade tasks, ensuring that users can maximize the performance and lifespan of their laptops.
Eurocom places the power to customize in the users' hands, allowing customers to upgrade their laptops without voiding the warranty. “DIY servicing reduces equipment downtime by enabling both individual users and IT departments to service Eurocom laptops at their own physical locations,” said Mark Bialic, Founder of Eurocom. “This eliminates the need to remove equipment offsite, significantly reducing the risk of intellectual property security breaches.”

It is important to note that users need some mechanical skills and a good knowledge of computer hardware to perform these upgrades. Eurocom does not encourage unskilled users to experiment with their laptops.

Users should be familiar with their laptop's components and know how to access parts safely.
When dealing with sensitive parts, it is crucial to enforce ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection. Users must use grounding straps and other ESD protective measures to avoid damaging sensitive components.
